 About Me

I have been practicing massage therapy since early 2005 after graduating from the East West College of the Healing Arts 600 hour program.  I have had the honor of being mentored by Dr. Deborah Santomero, DC from the onset of my practice.  She has taught me invaluable techniques concerning the body and the muscle systems.   I have studied with the Rolfing Institute, taking Continuing Education classes, to learn deep massage techniques and myofascial release.  I have studied with well known Shamans Jan Engels-Smith of the Lightsong School of Shamanism as well as Beth Beurkens of the Foundation of Shamanic Studies.  I am a level two Reiki Practitioner under the Usui tradition.  I have worked closely with medical doctors, chiropractors, and acupuncturists to learn how to provide care that is a combination of healing modalities to best heal the client based upon a more complete picture of the individuals needs.  I am currently studying Cranial Sacral work and am excited to add this amazing modality to my practice upon completion.

I utilize finely honed listening and communication skills to understand both verbal and non verbal that you express to be of the most benefit to you during our session.  I use a variety of techniques to custom the session to your direct needs at the time you visit.  I use the following techniques in various combinations:  Deep Tissue, Swedish, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, Facilitated Stretching, Reiki and Shamanism.

I have discovered as a mother of two children, I am naturally nurturing and thrive on being a helpful, informative teacher.  I find that educating my clients as we work, if the interest is present, creates a more dynamic and powerful relationship to accomplish your goals of health and well-being.  I am passionate about the practice of yoga and Nia dance to keep myself grounded and centered.

Finally, I am also a classically trained artist.  I use a variety of creative techniques to accomplish the ideas I am working on.  I carefully observe and emotionally respond to the world we live in to make images.
